Acupuncture
Service 1

Acupuncture

Acupuncture works by stimulating the body's meridians through the precise placement of needles, supporting the balance of Yin and Yang and encouraging the healthy flow of Qi and blood.

Scope of Application Acute and chronic pain conditions (including neck, shoulder, back, and leg pain, headaches, and arthritis), internal medicine concerns (such as insomnia, gastrointestinal disorders, and hypertension), surgical and soft tissue issues (including soft tissue injuries and skin conditions), gynecological concerns (such as irregular menstruation and menopausal syndrome), pediatric conditions (including indigestion and low immunity), men's health (including prostate enlargement, impotence, premature ejaculation, and sexual dysfunction), and aesthetic TCM applications (including acne management, anti-aging, weight management, skin lifting, and edema reduction).

Precautions Please avoid receiving acupuncture on an empty stomach or immediately after a large meal. Those who are pregnant or living with severe heart disease or bleeding disorders should exercise caution. Let your acupuncturist know if you are taking any anti-platelet or anticoagulant medications. After your session, stay warm, avoid cold drafts, and allow at least 4 hours before bathing.

Notable Benefits

Pain relief that doesn't rely on medication
Reduced inflammation
Improved circulation
Support for healthy immune function
Reduction of stress and anxiety
Better sleep quality

Your Experience, Explained

Your acupuncture session begins with you settling into a comfortable position while your practitioner gently places hair-thin needles at carefully chosen points. The vast majority of patients notice little to no discomfort. For the next 20 to 30 minutes, you simply rest as the needles do their work — and a deep sense of relaxation often follows. It's not uncommon for patients to drift off to sleep!

Chinese Herbal Medicine
Service 2

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine applies carefully selected herbal formulas to harmonize the Yin, Yang, Qi, and blood of the organs, guided by TCM syndrome differentiation.

Scope of Application Internal medicine conditions (including stomach complaints, liver disease, and cardiovascular disease), gynecological concerns (such as menstrual disorders, infertility, and menopause), pediatric issues (including colds and indigestion), men's health (including kidney deficiency and impotence), recovery from chronic illness, and anti-aging and wellness support.

Precautions Herbal formulas must always be used under the guidance of a qualified TCM practitioner. If you are currently taking Western medications, please inform your practitioner so that the herbal prescription can be adjusted appropriately. Pregnant women and those in special health circumstances must follow their practitioner's advice closely.

Notable Benefits

Tailored specifically to your individual health needs
Focuses on underlying causes rather than surface symptoms
Generally well tolerated with minimal side effects
Works well alongside acupuncture treatment
Suited to managing ongoing and chronic conditions
Helps bolster immune system resilience

Your Experience, Explained

Your journey begins with a thorough consultation and TCM diagnosis. From there, we develop a herbal formula designed around your unique needs, and you'll leave with clear guidance on how to prepare and take your herbs. As your treatment progresses, we check in regularly and refine the formula to keep your care on track.

Cupping Therapy
Service 3

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy applies negative pressure to draw cups firmly against the skin, expanding the capillaries beneath to encourage blood flow, clear stagnation, and help the body expel wind and cold.

Scope of Application Colds, coughs, asthma, rheumatic joint pain, and muscle tension in the neck, shoulders, and back arising from wind-cold pathogens.

Precautions Cupping is not appropriate over broken or irritated skin, for those with bleeding disorders, or over the abdominal and lower back areas of pregnant women. Elderly patients should proceed with care. Following treatment, protect yourself from cold exposure, avoid overexertion, and wait before bathing to prevent wind-cold from entering through the pores.

Notable Benefits

Release of deep-seated muscle tension
Promotes healthy blood circulation
Reduced inflammation
Pain relief
Supports recovery following injury
Respiratory support

Your Experience, Explained

Your practitioner places glass or silicone cups over areas of tension or discomfort. Rather than pain, most people describe the suction as a satisfying pulling sensation. Cups may stay in one spot for 5 to 15 minutes or be glided across the skin. Temporary circular marks can appear afterward — this is completely normal and typically fades within a few days.

Moxibustion
Service 4

Moxibustion

Moxibustion harnesses the therapeutic warmth produced by burning moxa leaves to activate specific acupuncture points, warm the meridians, and nourish the body's vital energy.

Scope of Application Deficiency-cold constitutions, menstrual cramps, chronic gastrointestinal conditions, rheumatic pain, asthma, and general fatigue or cold extremities.

Precautions Care should always be taken to avoid burns during treatment. Moxibustion is not appropriate for individuals with high fever or constitutions characterized by excess heat. People with diabetic neuropathy should exercise extreme caution. Pregnant women should avoid application to the abdominal and sacral regions.

Notable Benefits

Supports and strengthens immune function
Helps restore energy levels and a sense of vitality
Improves circulation
Relieves cold-type pain
Promotes healthy digestive function
Turns breech babies

Your Experience, Explained

Throughout your moxibustion session, you'll notice a soothing warmth spreading from the burning moxa as it's held close to targeted points on your body. The experience is grounding and deeply relaxing — many patients liken the sensation to the gentle warmth of sunlight on their skin. The moxa herb also carries a distinctive, earthy scent that many find calming.

Tui Na Medical Massage
Service 5

Tui Na Medical Massage

Tui Na applies skilled manual techniques to the body's meridians, muscles, and joints, working to harmonize Qi and blood, release tension in the tendons, and improve circulation in targeted areas.

Scope of Application Neck, shoulder, back, and leg pain, muscle strain, sports injuries, indigestion, and pediatric conditions such as cough or constipation.

Precautions Tui Na should not be performed over open wounds, active skin infections, or areas affected by bone tumors. Deep pressure on the abdomen is not appropriate for pregnant women. When treating elderly patients or those with osteoporosis, only gentle techniques should be applied.

Notable Benefits

Eases muscle pain and chronic tension
Improved joint mobility
Encourages improved posture and structural alignment
Enhanced circulation
Stress reduction
Injury recovery support

Your Experience, Explained

Depending on your condition and constitution, Tui Na can feel anywhere from gentle and soothing to more active and invigorating. Your practitioner applies a range of techniques using their hands, fingers, elbows, and occasionally feet. You stay fully clothed throughout, and a typical session runs between 30 and 60 minutes.

Gua Sha
Service 6

Gua Sha

Using a smooth scraping tool applied with friction, Gua Sha works to stimulate circulation, clear the meridians, and draw stagnant blood toward the surface to help the body expel pathogens.

Scope of Application Commonly used for colds, fever, sore throat, heatstroke, hypertension, and tension or stiffness in the neck, shoulders, and back.

Precautions Do not apply over broken skin or moles. This therapy is not appropriate for individuals with bleeding disorders, and should not be performed on the abdomen during pregnancy. After treatment, keep the area warm and covered, and avoid cold air drafts or bathing right away.

Notable Benefits

Rapid pain relief
Reduced muscle tension
Decreased inflammation
Strengthened immune function
Enhanced circulation
Supports quicker recovery from illness

Your Experience, Explained

Your practitioner begins by applying oil to the skin, then uses a smooth-edged tool to work over areas of tension or discomfort with firm downward strokes. The sensation involves noticeable pressure and scraping — it can feel strong, though most people find it quite manageable. Redness or purple-toned marks often appear on the skin during the session and generally fade within 2 to 7 days.

Herbal Plaster Therapy
Service 7

Herbal Plaster Therapy

Custom-prepared herbal pastes or powders are applied directly to targeted acupoints or painful areas, allowing medicinal compounds to be absorbed through the skin.

Scope of Application Widely used for rheumatic joint pain, persistent waist and leg pain, asthma, rhinitis, pediatric cough conditions (such as San-Fu-Tie), and a range of skin concerns.

Precautions Exercise caution when applying to sensitive skin. Do not use on broken skin or open wounds. If significant redness, swelling, or itching develops, discontinue use right away.

Lasting wellbeing involves more than in-clinic treatments alone.

Your Questions, Answered

Helpful answers about our services, safety practices, and what you can expect from care

Acupuncture is generally well-tolerated, with most people experiencing little to no discomfort. Because the needles are hair-thin — far finer than the needles used for injections — insertion tends to feel like a brief, mild sensation at most. After placement, patients often settle into a state of deep relaxation, and it's quite common to drift off to sleep during the session.
Treatment frequency depends on several factors, including your specific condition, how long you've been dealing with it, and how your body responds over time. Acute conditions may show improvement within 3–6 sessions, whereas chronic concerns often call for 10–15 treatments or more. We'll put together a personalized treatment plan from the start and continue to refine it as we track your progress.
When practiced by a qualified, licensed practitioner, Chinese medicine is considered safe. We use sterile, single-use needles and adhere to rigorous safety protocols throughout every treatment. Chinese herbal medicine has been developed and refined across thousands of years of practice, and we source only high-quality, tested herbs from reputable suppliers. Side effects, when they do occur, are uncommon and typically minor.
Yes — TCM and Western medicine can work well together. Many patients turn to acupuncture to help manage side effects from medications or medical procedures, to support recovery, or to address concerns that conventional treatments haven't fully resolved. We strongly encourage open communication with all of your healthcare providers so that your care remains coordinated and consistent.
Loose, comfortable clothing works best — choose items that can be easily rolled up to allow access to your arms, legs, and back. Gowns are available if you need them. We also ask that you skip perfume or heavily scented products on treatment days, as some patients may have sensitivities.
We work with most major insurance plans that provide acupuncture coverage. If your plan requires direct submission, we can provide a detailed superbill for you to send to your insurer for potential reimbursement. We recommend contacting us ahead of your visit to confirm your specific benefits. For those paying out of pocket, we offer accessible self-pay rates as well as package pricing options.
Have a light meal one to two hours before your visit — arriving on an empty stomach isn't recommended. On treatment days, try to limit alcohol and excess caffeine. Bring a list of any medications or supplements you're currently taking, and wear comfortable clothing. Plan to share your health history in some detail, and feel free to come with questions.
Needle anxiety is more common than you might think, and many patients are genuinely surprised by how comfortable acupuncture feels. The needles are extremely fine, and insertion is typically painless. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you, walk you through each step, and can begin with fewer needles if that helps you feel more at ease. We also offer needle-free options, including herbal medicine, cupping, and Tui Na massage.
